2025 Spring Field Day – 20th August

Save the date for NAG’s annual spring field day where we have a jam packed day of guest speakers, field walks and lunch and dinner catered by our great local P&C’s.

NAG regularly holds “Thirsty Thursdays” which are an informal catch up for NAG members, often looking at local trials, machinery set-ups and other topics that members may be interested in.

If you have an idea or something you would like to put forward as a Thirsty Thursday topic, please contact the secretary, or a committee member.

  • Pre-harvest Thirsty Thursday
    On the 3rd Oct, NAG collaborated with YFIG to run a pre-harvest Thirsty Thursday, focusing on topics relevant to the upcoming harvest. The event was well attended, with over 60 people from both grower groups attending.   • 2024 Spring Field Walk
    NAG’s annual Spring Field Walk was held on the 14th August 2024. The day was well attended by industry and growers, with around 100 showing up visit the multiple paddock sites and enjoy a delicious lunch, catered by the Northampton District Highschool P&C and dinner, catered by Binnu P&C and St Mary’s P&C.   • Thirsty Thursday 11th July
    This field walk kicked off in Binnu, looking at the wheat NVT, managed by Crop Circle. Following on from that, the group headed to a nearby farm to look at soil amelioration trials, followed by a BBQ afterwards.
  • Post Seeding Barefoot Bowls
    In conjunction with YFIG, NAG held a post-seeding barefoot bowls event at the Northampton Bowling Club on the 19th June 2024. This event was well attended by both grower groups and a great opportunity to catch up with mates after seeding.
